The Mountsorrel Community Support Fund helps residents of Mountsorrel who find themselves in need, hardship or distress.

Application criteria

  • You are currently living in Mountsorrel

  • You have lived in Mountsorrel for at least six months

  • You are finding it difficult to pay for the things that your household needs

What happens next

The Coordinator will contact you and help you to complete the application. Please note you will need to give some financial details, but these will be kept strictly confidential and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

We look at applications every six weeks. You will not have to wait long to hear if we can help you. Let us know if you need urgent help. We can make a decision more quickly.

Can I apply on behalf of someone else?

You can apply on behalf of someone else, but the Coordinator would need to speak to that person during the application process.

I represent an organisation providing services to people in Mountsorrel. Can organisations apply?

We fund several organisations which provide relevant services to people in the village.

Who makes the decisions?

The rules of the Mountsorrel Community Support Fund are that there should be 16 trustees who make the decisions, comprising:

  • 10 co-opted trustees (who live, work or otherwise have knowledge of Mountsorrel parish)

  • Five trustees nominated by Mountsorrel Parish Council

  • One ex-officio trustee (the Priest in Charge of Christ Church and St Peter’s Church in Mountsorrel)
